Hotel Near Birla Auditorium, Jawahar Kala Kendra and Rajasthan International Centre, Jaipur

By Royal City Guest House · Updated August 2026 · 6 min read

Jaipur's conference and cultural life runs largely along one road. Jawahar Lal Nehru Marg, known to everyone as JLN Marg, starts at Jawahar Circle in the south and runs north towards the city centre, and along it sit the venues that host most of the city's seminars, conferences, cultural festivals and academic events.

If you are attending one as a delegate, a speaker, a research scholar presenting a paper, an organiser, or part of a support team, your problem is usually the same. The venues themselves have no rooms, the hotels immediately around them charge conference-week rates, and you do not need a luxury property for a two day event where you will be inside a hall from 9 AM to 6 PM.

Royal City Guest House sits at 8/270 Jawahar Circle, at the southern end of JLN Marg. Every one of these venues is a straight run up the same road, which makes directions simple and the trip predictable. AC rooms from ₹999 a night, free parking, food on site, GST invoice for whoever is reimbursing your trip, and a front desk staffed 24 hours.

The Three Venues, and What Happens at Each

B.M. Birla Auditorium and Convention Centre

Near Statue Circle in C Scheme, this is Jaipur's main large-format conference venue. It sits inside a roughly ten acre complex that also holds a science museum, a planetarium and a library. The main auditorium seats around 1,300, which makes it the venue of choice for national conferences, medical and scientific congresses, convocations and large public lectures, and it also has a set of smaller conference and seminar rooms for parallel sessions.

From Jawahar Circle it is about 9 km straight up JLN Marg, roughly 20 to 25 minutes by cab outside peak hours. For a 9 AM registration, leave by 8:10 AM.

Jawahar Kala Kendra

At 2 JLN Marg, opposite Commerce College in Jhalana Doongri, JKK is the state arts centre. Its eight blocks hold museums, an amphitheatre, a closed auditorium, a library, art display rooms and a studio, and its programme runs from theatre and classical music to literature sessions, film screenings, craft exhibitions and design events. If you are a performer, an exhibiting artist, a workshop participant or simply attending a festival there over several days, this is the venue closest to you on the list.

About 5 km from Jawahar Circle, roughly 12 to 15 minutes.

Rajasthan International Centre

RIC is on Sansthan Path off JLN Marg near the Jhalana bypass, with the pin code 302017, the same as Malviya Nagar. It is a newer venue built for conferences, seminars and exhibitions, with auditoriums, conference rooms and exhibition space, and it hosts a steady flow of professional bodies, policy events and institutional gatherings.

About 4 to 5 km from us, roughly 12 to 15 minutes by cab. Of the three, this is the one where staying here saves you the most travel.

What a Delegate Actually Needs

An invoice that clears reimbursement

Most conference travel is paid by an employer, a university department, a professional body or a project grant. Tell the front desk at check-in that you need a GST invoice and give the organisation name, address and GSTIN. The bill is prepared with those details for checkout. Doing this at check-in rather than at the end avoids a rejected claim later.

Breakfast before the first session

Conferences start early and the tea break comes late. Our on-site restaurant serves home-style Indian food, meals from around ₹80, and can put out an early breakfast if you tell the desk the night before.

A quiet room and working WiFi

If you are presenting, the night before matters. Our lane at Jawahar Circle is set back from the main road, rooms are AC with private bathroom, hot water, TV, daily housekeeping and free WiFi. It is a small property, so the honest description of the WiFi is that it handles email, slides and cloud documents comfortably. If you need to run a video call or a rehearsal, ask for a quieter room away from the road when you book.

Rooms for a delegation

There are ten rooms in total. A department sending five people, an organising team needing a base near the venue, or a group of scholars travelling together can book a block or take the whole property. Call rather than booking one by one and the rate is settled in a single conversation.

Free parking and late returns

Parking is free and on-site. Cultural events at JKK regularly run into the evening, and conference dinners run later still, so the 24-hour front desk means you are not locked out on your way back.

The Evening After the Sessions

One advantage of staying at this end of JLN Marg is that when the day ends you are somewhere pleasant rather than in a hotel corridor. Patrika Gate and Jawahar Circle Garden are a two minute walk, and the garden is one of the largest circular parks in the country, which makes for a proper evening walk after eight hours in a hall. World Trade Park and Gaurav Tower are about ten minutes away if a colleague suggests dinner out. Our area guide covers the rest.

If your visit combines a conference with other business in the city, our business stay guide for Malviya Nagar lists travel times to the main office areas in south Jaipur.
